Finding reliable business partners abroad is one of the biggest challenges for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This online matchmaking event on 5 November aims to make that easier for companies working on digital, green and sustainability solutions.

The event brings together two EU-supported communities. The first are alumni of Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs (EYE), an EU programme that lets new or aspiring entrepreneurs spend one to six months working alongside an experienced business owner in another country. The second are SMEs supported by the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), the EU’s network that helps small businesses innovate, find partners and grow internationally through local contact points.

Participants can present their company, products or projects and look for new clients, suppliers and partners across Europe. Companies from all sectors are welcome, as long as they offer or look for digital or green solutions. The event is open to both experienced “host” and “new” entrepreneurs who have taken part in an EYE exchange, to SMEs that are clients of the EEN, and to EYE and EEN local contact points.

For machinery and automation SMEs, the event is a quick way to reach new markets. Companies that offer energy-saving or digital products can present them to potential buyers. Those looking for technology partners or suppliers abroad can meet several counterparts in a single day. After the event, EEN advisers can help participants follow up on promising contacts. Registration is required through the organiser’s platform.
