The call is open to single-entity SMEs established in an EU Member State (Horizon Europe Associated Country SMEs are not eligible), operating in manufacturing subsectors defined by NACE C codes; earlier rounds of the project have described these as covering metals, plastics, ceramics, textiles and food processing, so a company on the edge of these categories should check the current eligible-sector list on the official application platform before applying rather than assume. The funding covers a 12-month project split into a six-month advisory phase and a six-month implementation phase, supporting the adoption of any of 16 advanced technologies MANTRA tracks, including AI, IoT and robotics, aimed specifically at companies with low existing digital maturity rather than those already furthest along.
