Giorgio Nanni is the Coordinator of the Environmental and Energy Office, that oversees association policies related to energy issues, develops partnerships and participates in institutional events for the definition of energy policies. Legacoop promotes cooperative energy supply chains and innovative models of renewable energy production and consumption in an associated cooperative form.
Legacoop, founded in 1886, is the oldest Italian cooperative organization, that promotes the development of cooperation and mutuality, the economic and solidarity relations of its member cooperatives and encourages the spread of cooperative principles and values. The more than 10,000 cooperatives belonging to Legacoop are present in all regions and productive sectors. They can be found in leading positions in sectors such as retailing, construction, agrifood, services and manufacturing.
To achieve its objectives, Legacoop develops services and projects for cooperative enterprises and promotes the cooperative culture, affirming its values and supporting its economic, social and civic role and ability to respond to people's needs through its representative action. In order to be effective, Legacoop can count on two levels: sectoral - with its associations - and local - with its regional and provincial branches. It is based on a capillary presence throughout the country.
“I think that social economy can grow up in two important sector: energy and digital innovation. In fact, we normally talk about twin transition.”
