STAY project co-funded by European Union since 2022 discovers a case study of Quinta da Mata, a small family-run agrotourism business in S. Martinho de Castro, Ponte da Barca, Portugal, showcases its three independent houses (two two-bedroom and one one-bedroom) and its wine production activity. Tourists can enjoy a unique natural space near the Peneda-Gerês National Park and partake in grape harvests and farm activities. The business began with a vision to merge farming and tourism, overcoming initial challenges through training and leveraging European funds. Future plans involve expanding services to include wine tasting and themed workshops.
