The Common European Data Space for Cultural Heritage, an EU-funded initiative under the Digital Europe Programme, aims to expedite the digital transformation of the cultural heritage sector. This initiative focuses on enhancing the accessibility of high-quality content, particularly in 3D formats. It seeks to promote the reuse of digitized cultural resources and improve community offerings through advanced technologies. Managed by the European Health and Digital Executive Agency, the project builds upon previous efforts and comprises two main components: the deployment of the data space through procurement and the provision of grants to cultural heritage institutions to leverage advanced technologies for improving data quality, sustainability, and reuse.
