On 13 November 2024, IULM University in Milan, Italy, hosted an event showcasing one of the world’s first examples of mixed reality (MR) theatre, with a focus on accessibility and inclusion. The event featured two performances that welcomed both hearing individuals and people with hearing impairments. This innovative format combined a 50-minute video, viewed through 360° VR headsets, with a live interactive session where the audience removed their headsets to engage directly with the actor. Follow the link on the left-hand side of the platform to learn more about this milestone in experimental theatre, promoting equality, cultural accessibility, and innovation.
