The Greenways HERITAGE project, co-funded by the COSME program, was conducted from May 2018 to October 2019 with the aim of enriching the European tourism landscape. The project focused on developing new tourism offerings linked to heritage greenways and nearby UNESCO cultural sites. Its primary objectives included creating new tourism products to enhance the attractiveness of both greenways and UNESCO sites, improving the competitiveness of SMEs, fostering collaboration between public and private sectors, and utilizing technology to enhance tourist experiences. The project sought to attract more tourists, stimulate economic growth in regions with greenways and UNESCO sites, and promote these destinations on a global scale.
