The Hotels4Climate project, funded by the European Climate Initiative (EUKI), aimed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the hotel industry across Cyprus, Greece, and Germany. Coordinated by the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB), it focused on building capacity, promoting sustainable practices, and fostering collaboration with the financial sector. Running from October 2019 to September 2021, the project delivered key outputs including a comprehensive market analysis, practical GHG reduction guides, financing reports, and training. It also developed an online platform for best practices and concluded with a high-level event during EU Sustainable Energy Week, significantly advancing climate action in the tourism sector.
