The “DETOCS” initiative, operating from 1 March 2023 to 31 May 2027, aims to decarbonize the tourism industry post-COVID-19 across 8 EU countries. With 13 partners collaborating, the project focuses on enhancing policy instruments to support sustainable tourism infrastructure. By fostering stakeholder engagement, conducting comparative analysis, and facilitating mutual learning, DETOCS seeks to improve energy efficiency, increase energy self-sufficiency, and promote novel tourism types like virtual tourism.
