A "digitorial" is an educational and entertaining online exhibition and multimedia format developed around ten years ago by the Städel Museum, the Liebieghaus Skulpturensammlung, and the Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt in Germany. Designed to enhance exhibition visits, it provides additional content and follows a reusable structure adaptable to various multimedia. This innovative and sustainable digital tool has become a staple in digital exhibitions, now protected as a trademark. The project, based in Frankfurt am Main and online, is funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program, with ongoing updates by an editorial team.
