The European Capital of Smart Tourism is an EU initiative designed to encourage tourism innovation, sustainability, attractiveness, economic growth, and job creation in European cities. Among the seven countries recognized for the 2025 competition is Konya (Türkiye), a city known for its rich historical background and swift progress in smart tourism.
