SPOT (Social and Innovative Platform On Cultural Tourism and its Potential Towards Deepening Europeanisation) is a three-year project funded by the EU under Horizon 2020. The project aims to develop a novel approach to understanding and addressing cultural tourism, while promoting the development of disadvantaged areas. Comprising a consortium of 15 partners from 14 European countries, SPOT seeks to leverage a diverse array of expertise and ideas, fostering collaboration with stakeholders at local, regional, and national levels. Key outcomes of this initiative include policy recommendations, empirical data and survey results, strategies, best practices, and stakeholder engagement.
