Two calls under the “Leadership in materials and production for Europe” destination carry the topics on materials, raw materials and process industries: HORIZON-CL4-2027-01, with a budget of €224.7 million across 11 single-stage topics, and the two-stage call HORIZON-CL4-2027-02, worth €82.5 million across two topics, of which one concerns process industries and the other human and AI collaboration for the workforce. A separate call, HORIZON-CL4-2027-06 (€33.6 million, two topics), contains the Fast Track to Innovation topic for the Chemical Industry Action Plan (MAT-PROD-62) and a parallel Fast Track topic for breakthroughs in industrial technologies (MAT-PROD-61), both research and innovation actions. The announcement does not give budgets for individual topics.
Other topics cover innovative advanced materials and new production processes that reduce dependencies on critical and strategic raw materials (MAT-PROD-22, an innovation action run with the Innovative Advanced Materials for the EU and Processes4Planet partnerships), circular innovative advanced materials (MAT-PROD-06), technologies for innovative processing of raw materials (MAT-PROD-16) and efficient energy input from renewable sources and energy management in the process industries (MAT-PROD-32, two-stage, with the first-stage deadline on 2 February 2027). The same calls also include topics on textile circularity, factory processes for de- and re-manufacturing, and access to technology infrastructures for startups and SMEs.
