The BPC, in its November meeting, supported the renewal of Muscalure for product-type 19 (repellents and attractants) and did not support approval of Bromochloro-5,5-dimethylimidazolidine-2,4-dione for three product-types, because of a data gap concerning mutagenicity. On ethanol, the committee postponed its opinion until 2026. The committee also supported Union authorisations for three biocidal product families containing active chlorine or hydrogen peroxide and adopted opinions on post-authorisation data for product families containing permethrin/S-methoprene and L-(+)-lactic acid. Final decisions will be taken by the European Commission and Member States.
