In 2023, the European Commission's High-Level Construction Forum (HLCF) hosted a series of webinars to contribute to the implementation of the objectives outlined in the Transition Pathway for Construction. These sessions addressed critical areas such as sustainability, digitalisation, skills development, and innovative construction techniques.
April 20: focused on the green transition of construction, providing updates on life cycle emissions and strategies to reduce environmental impact.
April 25: explored initiatives supporting the digital transformation of the construction sector, highlighting tools and best practices for digital integration.
October 17: discussed whole life cycle emissions of buildings and examined the EU taxonomy for sustainable activities, emphasising the importance of comprehensive environmental assessments.
October 24: presented outcomes from the Blueprint for Skills and its connection to the Pact for Skills, underscoring efforts to address skills gaps in the industry.
November 23: showcased innovative construction techniques in practice, demonstrating advancements in building methods and materials.
These webinars facilitated knowledge exchange among stakeholders, promoting collaborative efforts to achieve a resilient, sustainable, and digitally advanced construction sector in the EU.
