On 16th December 2025, the European Commission adopted the Construction Product Regulation Working Plan 2026–2029, providing a clear roadmap for implementing the regulation.

The study assesses the concept and potential impact of implementing digital building permits in the EU. It provides a comprehensive analysis of current practices and systems related to building permit processes in six Member States and evaluates the benefits and challenges of transitioning to a digital format, including potential efficiency gains, cost savings, and reduction of administrative delays.
