Cement Europe is organising the event “One Year into the Cement Action Plan: Can the EU Deliver the Conditions for Competitiveness?” on 13 October 2026 in Brussels and online. The discussion comes one year after the launch of the Cement Action Plan and against a backdrop of major legislative initiatives, including the Clean Industrial Deal, the Industrial Accelerator Act, reforms to the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS), the Electrification Action Plan, Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) implementation measures, and the forthcoming CO₂ infrastructure package. The event will bring together policymakers, industry representatives, and stakeholders to evaluate how the above recent EU policy developments are affecting the competitiveness and sustainability of Europe’s cement sector.
