The conference “Cities at the Core: 10 Years of the Urban Agenda for the EU and the Way Ahead” will take place on 17-18 November 2026 in Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Organised to mark a decade since the launch of the Urban Agenda for the EU through the Pact of Amsterdam, the event will gather representatives from cities, EU institutions, academia and urban organisations to assess progress made in strengthening urban governance and cooperation across Europe. The agenda will highlight the role of cities in driving innovation and competitiveness, showcase successful urban development initiatives, and explore future policy priorities, including links with the emerging EU Agenda for Cities.
