The Sustainable Buildings and Construction Summit 2026, held in Lausanne, Switzerland, on 20–22 April 2026, brought together 468 participants from 64 countries to discuss the transition towards a zero-emission, resilient and resource-efficient buildings and construction sector. Co-organised by EPFL and UNEP, the summit focused on practical solutions and implementation challenges across policy, finance, capacity building and stakeholder coordination. The outcomes report, From Belém to Antalya: The Lausanne Chapter, highlights key priorities for accelerating the sector's transformation, including sustainable housing, low-carbon materials, resilient urban planning, innovative financing mechanisms and strengthened international cooperation through the Intergovernmental Council for Buildings and Climate (ICBC).
