The featured projects demonstrate different ways of linking environmental goals with housing and urban regeneration, from redesigning social housing areas and renewing public spaces to using green roofs, living façades and bio-based renovation materials. Several initiatives focus directly on improving housing performance and liveability, including circular renovation models for apartment buildings, skills development for timber construction and the use of bio-based insulation in social housing. Together, the projects show how EU funding can support community-based, climate-conscious approaches to construction and renovation while advancing wider goals related to energy efficiency, circularity, biodiversity and more resilient neighbourhoods.
