The Project 'Cement Skills 2030-2050' –Final Report outlines the results of a comprehensive initiative funded by the EU to address skills gaps and promote workforce transformation in the cement industry. The project focused on identifying future skill needs in response to digitalisation, decarbonisation, and circular economy trends, particularly within the European cement and concrete sectors. Through extensive research and stakeholder engagement, the consortium developed a long-term Sectoral Skills Strategy, a Pact for Skills blueprint, and a European Cement Skills Agenda. The report emphasises collaboration among industry, education providers, and policymakers, aiming to ensure a just transition and upskilling/reskilling of workers. Key outcomes include the creation of training modules, national skills partnerships, and policy recommendations for sustainable workforce development.
