According to the EU Tourism Dashboard, in 2022, Croatia, Portugal, and Spain had the highest economic dependence on tourism activity among EU countries with available information. Specifically, their GDP associated with the tourism sector divided by the total GDP accounted for 10.7%, 7.7%, and 7.5% respectively. In contrast, Luxembourg and Belgium had the lowest indicators, with values of 1.0% and 2.1% respectively, indicating a lower role of tourism in their economies.
