According to a Eurostat article published in September 2024, 780.1 million nights were spent in EU tourist accommodation during the second quarter of 2024, reflecting a 0.2% increase from the same period in 2023. This growth was primarily driven by a strong rise in international tourism, which added 11.5 million nights, while domestic tourism experienced a decline.
