According to a Eurostat article published in May 2024, around 32% of tourism nights spent in EU tourist accommodation in 2023 occurred in July and August. The highest seasonality values were observed in Croatia, followed by Greece and Bulgaria. Eurostat also highlights the reasons behind these values, revealing seasonality at the country level and considering different methods used for valuation by type of accommodation and origin of the guest.
