In 2023, approximately 1.7 million residents of Cyprus traveled abroad, with the majority (over 72%) doing so for holidays and leisure. Business trips accounted for 19.7% of outbound travel, while 6.6% were for educational purposes. In comparison, 2019 saw around 1.6 million outbound travelers, with 66.9% traveling for holidays and leisure and 22.4% for business. This data highlights a shift in travel purposes among Cypriot residents.
