In 2023, the Polish Statistics Office recorded that 36.2 million tourists were hosted in various tourist lodging facilities, marking an increase of 5.8% from the previous year. These tourists accounted for 92.8 million nights spent, which is 3.2% more than in 2022. Hotels were the preferred choice for 69.7% of these tourists, making hotels the most popular accommodation type. Among other lodging options, holiday centers took the lead, attracting 5.2% of the visitors. The overall occupancy rate for available beds in tourist accommodations reached 40.5% in 2023, slightly up by 0.1 percentage point from the year before. The Polish Statistics Office provides detailed data on occupancy in tourist accommodation establishments, freely available in Excel format.
