Cyprus is witnessing a promising recovery in its tourism sector, with the number of visitors nearing the record high of 2019, accounting for 96.7% of that peak year. Notably, the spending by tourists has seen a remarkable surge. The year 2023 marked a milestone as tourism revenues soared to EUR 2,990.6 million, the highest since the commencement of record-keeping in 2001. This indicates that, although the volume of tourists is still on the rebound, their expenditure is growing significantly. More detailed data is available in the online database of the Statistical Service of Cyprus (CYSTAT-DB), which is accessible free of charge and can be customized to meet individual needs.
