Share
According to Eurostat, 5.1 billion nights, or 94% of the total, in the EU in 2022 were undertaken for personal reasons and 6% for professional and business reasons. Of those taken for personal reasons, approximately 66% were taken for holidays, leisure and recreation reasons, while roughly 28% were visits to friends and relatives. The shares of personal and professional reasons remained the same as in 2019, with the shares equaling 93% and 7%, respectively. More detailed data is available through the attached link for free and is intended to support everyone interested in their decision-making processes.
