The Central Statistical Bureau of Latvia reported that in 2023, Latvian residents embarked on 4.6 million overnight trips for leisure and business, with 63.0% (2.9 million) of these trips occurring domestically and 37.0% (1.7 million) internationally. This marks an 11.6% increase in overnight trips compared to 2022, surpassing the pre-pandemic figures of 2019 by 15.9% and signaling a full rebound from the pandemic’s impact. Of the domestic journeys, travelers spent 7.0 million nights, a slight 2.4% decrease from 2022, yet a significant 21.4% increase from 2019. In 2023, 76.9% of these nights were in non-rented accommodations, while 23.1% were in rented facilities.
