The 8th edition of the AMT Smart Destinations Awards, organized by the Alliance of Sun and Beach Tourist Municipalities (AMT) and the Hotel Technological Institute (ITH), is now open for applications until November 21, 2024. These awards aim recognize technological solutions and tools that transform tourist destinations into Smart Tourist Destinations. Companies and public or private entities in the tourism sector, including city councils, boards, associations, and foundations, can apply in five categories: Comprehensive Destination Management, Interaction with Tourists and Citizens, Environmental Sustainability, Destination Promotion and Marketing, and the new Innovative Destination Project category. The awards ceremony will take place on January 23, 2025, at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR), where finalists will showcase their projects. (The original piece available only in Spanish).
