The Rural Forum 2024, organized by the Rural Youth Parliament in Slovakia and the EUROPE DIRECT Banská Bystrica Region Centre, will be held on October 25-26, 2024, in Žilina, Slovakia. This event is open to everyone interested in the development of the Slovak countryside. Over two days, it will bring together policymakers, local government representatives, rural development experts, and innovators to discuss and explore innovative solutions for the future of rural communities in the digital age.

On October 25th, the forum will feature presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities focused on building a digital Europe and creating a fairer, more inclusive union. Topics will include women in the countryside, rural youth, the rural pact, and smart villages. The second day will consist of an excursion in the region, showcasing examples of good practices in rural areas. The event is free to attend, but registration is required.
