On 2-3 July 2025, the Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), with support from the German Development Cooperation, will host a conference in Athens, Greece, focusing on employment opportunities and challenges in the Mediterranean's tourism sector. This event aims to gather policymakers, industry leaders, international organisations, and experts to discuss topics such as skills development, job creation, private sector participation, entrepreneurship, and innovation, as well as sustainable and ecotourism. The goal is to explore best practices and collaborative solutions for promoting inclusive economic growth, social equity, and environmental sustainability in Mediterranean tourism.
