You are invited to attend the online event, "Resilient Communities: Local Solutions for Social and Economic Growth", scheduled for Friday, 27 June, from 10:00 to 12:00 CEST. It is part of a project commissioned by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW).

The session will explore topics related to urban and rural wellbeing, with a focus on the role of proximity and social economy actors in fostering resilience, supporting post-pandemic recovery, and promoting social innovation at the local level.

One of the featured case studies will highlight the Peloponnese Trails — a certified 1,730 km hiking network in rural Greece. The discussion will examine the initiative’s territorial impact, including its influence on proximity-based production, local community engagement, and climate-conscious tourism.

Following the presentations, participants will join interactive breakout groups to explore the case studies in greater depth, exchange perspectives, and ask questions.

The event is free of charge and will be held online. Further information is available via the link provided on the left-hand side of the platform.
