The Provincial Council of Badajoz has issued a tender for the creation of digital twins for tourism purposes in the areas covered by the tourism sustainability plans in the Comarca de Olivenza, La Serena Cultural Landscape, Tierra de Barros-Wine Tourism, and Campiña Sur. These digitalisation efforts aim to bring about a digital and intelligent transformation in these regions. The contract involves creating digital twins that will provide a geolocated digital definition of "digital tourist elements," both tangible (such as buildings, roads, museums, parks, attractions, or monuments) and intangible (such as entities, companies, experiences, social networks, walks, events). The open procedure, valued at EUR 954,690.00 including VAT, has been published on the State Procurement Platform, with bids accepted from 28 November to 30 December (The original piece available only in Spanish).
