The Nordic Institute in Greenland is now accepting applications for the Nordic Arctic Programme, which aims to build a socially, economically, and environmentally resilient Arctic. The programme supports initiatives that strengthen community bonds, promote sustainable economic development, and advance the green transition.
To be eligible, projects must involve partnerships from at least three Nordic countries—such as Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, the Faroe Islands, or Åland. Additional non-Nordic partners may participate, provided the lead partner is based in a Nordic country.
Projects should generate knowledge, results, and collaborations that contribute innovative solutions towards a sustainable and resilient Arctic. Selected initiatives may receive up to DKK 500,000 in funding. Projects must commence no earlier than 1 August of the application year and conclude by 1 August two years later.
The application deadline is 15 February 2026.
