The ADT4Blue (Advanced Digital Technologies for the Blue Economy) project, funded by the EU through the Interreg Atlantic Area programme, has launched a call for proposals. This initiative aims to support up to 30 projects that apply Advanced Digital Technologies (ADTs) to address 11 predefined challenges within the Blue Economy sector.
Eligible applicants include SMEs, start-ups, entrepreneurs, technologists, students in higher education, researchers, alumni, and domain experts based in the EU or in countries associated with Interreg Europe. Proposals must utilise one or more ADTs—such as Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, Blockchain, Big Data, or Robotics—and target one or more of the eight Blue Economy domains: aquaculture, coastal and maritime tourism, ocean monitoring, maritime transport, port operations, communication, data analytics, and renewable marine energy.
Selected participants will take part in a six-month programme consisting of two SPRINT phases, offering customised training, mentoring, and business development support. The objective is to enable participants to develop and present viable digital solutions aligned with sectoral needs and to promote the broader adoption of ADTs across the Blue Economy.
Submission deadline: 28 July 2025
