The European Commission has launched the Horizon Europe Call to support innovative solutions addressing pollution in urban areas, aiming to enhance the quality of life and environmental sustainability in European cities. This Call focuses on four key areas:

  • Rethinking urban spaces towards climate neutrality
  • Zero-pollution cities
  • Mobility management plans and behavioural change
  • Integrated peri-urban areas in the transition towards climate neutrality

Applicants are encouraged to propose projects that deliver improved and innovative local measures against pollution. This includes enhancing knowledge of citizens' exposure to pollution and developing better health impact assessments and strategies to mitigate health impacts related to air, water, soil, and noise pollution. Applications are open until 11 February 2025. For more details, please click the attached link.
