The European Commission has announced a call for project proposals under the Horizon Europe program, with a budget of €28 million to support the integration of peri-urban areas in the transition towards climate neutrality. This funding aims to foster innovative solutions for sustainable urban development, focusing on enhancing connectivity, reducing pollution, and promoting green infrastructure. The goal is to contribute to the broader mission of transforming 100 cities into climate-neutral and smart cities by 2030. The deadline for submissions is February 11, 2025.
