The Ministry has launched a call for proposals to support the development of tourism and rural areas across Slovakia. The main goal is to enhance the country’s accessibility and attractiveness through improved infrastructure that connects tourist points of interest, including hiking, water, and mountain routes, as well as rest and recreational areas.
Eligible applicants are municipalities and towns with up to 5,000 inhabitants. Each entity can submit only one project proposal, and applicants are required to contribute at least 10% of the total eligible costs.
Selected projects may receive funding between €10,000 and €100,000, provided as an advance payment. The supported activities include building or modernizing trails, facilities for water tourism, educational paths, and environmentally friendly infrastructure. Projects from smaller municipalities and those involving multiple localities or aligned with strategic development plans will be prioritized.
The call was announced on June 2, 2025, and the deadline for submitting applications is in July 2025.
