The Deputy Ministry of Tourism of Cyprus has announced the launch of the second round of its Grant Scheme, which aims to enhance hotels and tourist accommodations in rural, mountainous, and remote areas to modernise and boost the competitiveness of the tourism sector. Businesses of all sizes in these areas, including those facing tourism disadvantages and those in Special State Support Areas, can apply for grants until 30 April 2025. The funding is intended to help these businesses enhance, modernise, and upgrade their offerings, develop new tourism products and services, address seasonal needs, and implement digital improvements. The maximum funding available per beneficiary is EUR 300,000 under the De Minimis Regulation and EUR 500,000 under the General Block Exemption Regulation (GAEK).
