The Interreg V-A Austria–Hungary Cooperation Programme has launched the fifth round of its call for standard project proposals. Applications are invited under all four programme priorities:
- A green and resilient border region
- A better-connected border region
- A competent border region
- An integrated border region
Projects may address any specific objective of the programme, including areas such as culture and sustainable tourism, sustainable transport, nature protection and biodiversity, and climate change adaptation, among others.
Eligible applicants include educational and training institutions, NGOs, private enterprises, public authorities, research organisations, and SMEs from both Austria and Hungary. Each project must involve at least one partner from each country.
Selected projects may receive up to 80% co-financing, with the EU contribution ranging from EUR 200,000 to EUR 3,000,000 per project. All proposed activities must take place within the programme’s designated cross-border region.
