The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine of Ireland has launched a call for proposals to support Agri-Food Tourism Initiatives. Funded by the Government’s Rural Innovation and Development Fund (RIDF) for 2025, this initiative aims to assist rural businesses in creating innovative products and services related to artisan, local, and seasonal food, as well as tourism offerings. Successful initiatives can receive up to EUR 25,000 in support, provided they demonstrate long-term self-sustainability, boost the local rural economy, and align with the environmental goals of Food Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Applications are open to all interested organisations and economic operators and must be submitted by 24 February 2025.
