The Bus Operator Aid Scheme, launched by the NTA (National Transport Authority) and funded by the EU Just Transition Fund, to support the decarbonisation of private bus fleets in specific regions of Ireland. Bus operator companies within the EU JTF territory are eligible to apply for consultancy and grants to transition their fleets to electric vehicles (EV). The grants cover costs related to civil works, planning, and associated infrastructure such as chargers, but not the buses themselves. This initiative seeks to reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainable transport solutions. Applications are open from October 15, 2024, to January 31, 2025.
