The Occitanie / Pyrénées-Méditerranée region has launched a call for projects focused on sustainable, responsible, and inclusive tourism, aiming to support the transformation of its tourism sector—the region’s second-largest economic driver.

Eligible projects may include:

  • Initiatives that transform tourism activities with a focus on environmental sustainability, social inclusion, and economic sovereignty
  • Modernisation efforts for spa towns, as well as coastal, rural, and mountain resorts, and major tourist sites
  • Development of outdoor recreational activities
  • Structuring of pedestrian, equestrian, and river-based roaming routes
  • Expansion and improvement of tourist accommodation

Who can apply:

  • Local authorities and their groupings
  • Local public or mixed-capital companies managing public facilities
  • Associations and companies that own or manage social and solidarity-based tourism accommodation

Funding details:

The total regional aid per project is capped at EUR 500,000, which includes:

  • Up to EUR 300,000 in grants (with a maximum of EUR 50,000 allocated for studies)
  • Up to EUR 200,000 in repayable advances
