A.SPIRE is the European Association committed to manage and implement the Processes4Planet co-programmed Partnership, bringing together 10 sectors of the European Process Industry, including chemicals. A.SPIRE developed a cross-sectorial SPIRE 2030 Roadmap that was the basis for SPIRE contractual Public-Private Partnership under H2020, focusing, especially, on energy and resources efficiency. Moving forward to Horizon Europe, A.SPIRE has defined its Vision 2050 Towards the Next Generation of European Process Industries which then resulted in P4Planet's SRIA 2050, the strategic agenda that is the basis for P4Planet Partnership. With the P4Planet SRIA 2050, Energy Intensive Industries showed qualitative and quantitative steps towards a strategy based on three high ambitions: climate neutrality (net zero emissions), circularity (near zero landfilling and water discharge) and drastic increase of the European process industry competitiveness (above EU's GDP growth). The P4Planet SRIA is implemented through yearly Horizon Europe calls and resulting in R&I projects addressing the innovation programmes defined in the SRIA. We currently have 41 P4Planet projects (some of them from the 2023 calls are now under the Grant Agreement process and should start in 2024).
