BioBTX is a circular chemistry technology developer that makes it possible to replaces fossil resources for biomass & plastic waste. We use these renewable resources for the production of drop-in chemicals and aromatics to enable the production of sustainable and future proof materials. BioBTX has the goal of realizing its first commercial scale plant by 2025, The PETRA Plant. It will be realized at the Chemical Park Delfzijl, Groningen, The Netherlands. Here waste plastics and biomass will be converted into renewable aromatics. The Capacity of the PETRA Plant will be 20 kt/a of mixed plastic waste and biomass input. The Project has the goal to start construction in the first half of 2024. With the start-up planned for 2026.
