Lubrizol is building Biomass Balanced supply chains to increase use of secondary raw material (Basic monomers such as Isocyanates, Polyols, bifunctional alcohols) as feedstock for prime grade Thermoplastic Polyurethanes. This is happening under a certification scheme to ensure full transparency in the whole supply chain. The first BioMassBalanced materials we produce will be put in the EU market in H1 2024. After initial launch, the Mass Balanced portfolio we offer to the market will gradually be extended strongly depending on raw material availability and market acceptance. Initial target is to have 5 commercial products switched to the Mass Balanced version by end of 2024. Further expansion of the Mass Balanced product portfolio will occur in 2025
