Oleon has been investing into the development of enzymatic processes at demo scale for the conversion of vegetable oil based feedstock materials into building blocks and ingredients with a safer profile, higher quality and lower environmental profile compared to traditional chemical pathways used for the production of these ingredients. These are destined for a variety of markets. Both the LIPES and INCITE EU projects are illustrating this approach and benefited from EU H2020 funding. Oleon is ommitted to reduce all its direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions (expressed in CO2eq) by 30% by 2030. This commitment is in line with the Science-Based Targets initiative. At the same time, we will develop a “net zero” emissions trajectory to help achieve global carbon neutrality by 2050.
