Zschimmer & Schwarz Mohsdorf participates in all regional and nationwide activities to implement the hydrogen network plan in Germany. We are co-founders of the interest group "Hydrogen Alliance Chemnitz Region", founded in January 2024, which advocates a rapid connection to the planned hydrogen core network of the Federal Republic of Germany. The alliance mainly represents small and medium-sized companies in this south-west Saxony region, for which a supply of hydrogen is essential as the energy source of the future and an alternative to natural gas, and which currently have an energy demand of around 800 MWh. Zschimmer & Schwarz Mohsdorf is planning with gas equivalents of approx. 30 MWh, could already replace 30% of its natural gas requirements with hydrogen from a technological perspective and is aiming to completely replace natural gas with hydrogen by 2030 to defossilize its entire chemical production at the manufacturing site in Burgstädt (Germany/Saxony).
