The tourism ecosystem's diversity, consisting of eight distinct sectors, means that crisis events impact each sector differently, necessitating tailored responses. Effective communication between public entities and sectoral associations is crucial during crises to ensure policies are relevant and coordinated, as existing dependencies can either hinder or facilitate recovery. To enhance coordination among policymakers and industry stakeholders, the Commission's T4T Resilience Working Group should be ready to function as the EU-level tourism crisis management group during such events.
